I can send you a link where I got it from but it's not from an 'official' source -- just a site with pictures..

hey josh

thanks for all the info. i'm amazed at how long you've offered support on this thread! hope you're still here... i saw you say that the phone will never work with mac's isync program... do you know if there's any way to back the address book up to a mac? (i'd been most happy if i could get all the entries in my address book onto the phone without doing it manually)

thanks either way!

I figured out how to use a data cable to get mp3s and stuff onto the LG CU400.

You need to go to the AT&T website and get the "Communication Manager" program. Typically this program is used for turning your phone into a modem that your laptop can connect through. Install this. The reason you need this is because Communication Manager will register your phone as a device with windows. Without doing this BitPim won't see the phone.

Now download BitPim. From here, when it asks to search for a phone tell it to look for "Other CDMA phone" or something like that. It should find your phone. If it doesn't, make sure you are connecting the phone in the same USB port you autodetected the phone with Communication Manager. This was a problem I had.

To access pictures you've taken on the phone you need to use "Filesystem" in bitpim. Location for pictures is /LGAPP/Media/Images/Graphics. Be careful when working in this menu as you _CAN_ delete critical files and brick your phone.
